Social work is a practice-based profession and an academic discipline that promotes social change and development, social cohesion, and the empowerment and liberation of people. Principles of social justice, human rights, collective responsibility and respect for diversities are central to social work. Underpinned by theories of social work, social sciences, humanities and indigenous knowledge, social work engages people and structures to address life challenges and enhance wellbeing. Sustainability is perhaps one of the most revolutionary social perspective emerged in this century. This perspective is so widespread that it is allied to almost all aspects of modern day living. A more holistic and sustainable way of addressing human need is promoted through tackling poverty, education, health, economy and employment which are all human development concerns.

SchoRes International Conference on Social Work and Sustainable Community Development (SchoRes ICSWSCD 2020) invites academics, researchers, experts, and practitioner to discuss the theoretical and practical aspect of social work, and explore the issues, trends, and innovations in the domain.
